Preliminary Round - Friday, February 17th
8:00 - Newcomers - 20 comics, 5 minutes
10:15 - Pros - 20 comics, 5 minutes
Quarter Finals - Saturday, February 18th
8:00 - Pros - 12 comic, 8 minutes
10:15 - Newcomers - 15 comics, 6 minutes
Semi-Finals - Friday, February 24th
8:00 - Pros - 8 comics, 10 minutes
10:15 - Newcomers - 10 comics, 8 minutes
Finals - Saturday, February 25th
8:00 - Pros - 4 comics, 15 minutes
10:15 - Newcomers - 5 comics, 12 minutes
Common Rules for the PRO & Newcomers Divisions:
New England (Connecticut, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, Massachusetts, Rhode Island)
1) Entrants must have ties to New England
a. Provide proof of either living or working in New England.
b. Provide proof of either being born or raised in New England.
d. Has immediate family in New England. (Mother or Father) currently residing.
Prize Money -
Pro & Newcomer Divisions- Cash & Prizes in 2011 were in excess of $9,500.00
Rules Newcomer's Division - You can email a Utube or Link of your stand-up clip of nine minutes to

or send in a DVD of your stand-up routine, either, to be received by January 15th, 2012. Include in your DVD a minimum ten minutes worth of time to Treehouse Comedy Productions PO BOX 452 Monroe, CT. 06468. Include your phone number, address, and e-mail address. YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE THE DVD BACK.
2) Send in an Entry Fee of $25 made out to Treehouse Comedy Productions for all newcomer entrants. P.O. Box 452 Monroe, CT 06468. Or, if you are sending a clip pay on line through our Pay Pal account on the Contest page.
3) By submitting your entry fee there are no guarantees that you will be selected to perform.
4) You can request a live audition instead of sending in a DVD. Scheduled audition dates:
5) You must be available to perform for all live performances for the entire competition. Scheduled February 17, 18, 24 & 25.
6) Agree to bring a minimum of five (5) paid patrons for CT comics and three (3) paid patrons for MA & RI comics to the Preliminary Round & Quarter Finals for the Newcomer's Shows. The bringer requirement is waived for VT & NH comics.
7) You will not perform if your patrons do not attend and you will be eliminated from the contest.
8) Three comics will be selected as alternatives for each performance. For the second, third and final rounds each alternative will be available to perform the night of each following performance. These alternatives will act as substitutes for that particular competition and will be ready to perform if requested.
9) Be timely for each performance.
10) Comics will get a warning light with 30 seconds leftin time. A second light will be the ending light. If any act is performed after or before the 30 seconds, there will be a penalty.
11) Permit the contest to use your performance for TV, DVD, or Internet reproduction.
